About MAD Coatings and our process
The process that we use to conjure our magic is sometimes called water transfer printing, cubic printing or aquagraphic processing and it has to be seen to be believed! This is the same process used to decorate the interior trim of most modern cars today, in fact, almost every woodgrain finish that you see in today's modern cars was applied using our process. It is a process which allows the application of photo-realistic patterns and designs onto 3-dimensional objects. We can MAD Coat any shape and almost all surfaces!
Using this amazing new technology, we can make plastics look like metals, we can make aluminium look like wood, we can make wood look like granite and we can even put a picture of your girlfriend on your mobile phone... or a picture of your boyfriend on a mouse!
This process is NOT a stick-on application so there is no fading, cracking, peeling or loose edges. We take your dashboard or aluminium window frame or computer case or just about anything you could imagine and we totally transform it into whatever you want it to be!
What do I get?
All products that we Mad Coated are sanded and prepared to a smooth surface, then primed and spray painted with a basecoat colour (for example brown for a wood finish). Then they are 'dipped' through a gel-like film imprinted with your chosen pattern (for example the grain pattern for a woodgrain finish). The product is then cleaned and baked and finally clear coated with a protective two pack clear coat. This is the same clear coat as is used to protect the outside of metallic painted cars.
The patterns are 100% lightfast and the finished product is as durable as the outside of your car. No surprise that car manufacturers all over the world are standardising on this process for interior decoration and even exterior...
In fact, Chrysler has recently done the first COMPLETE CAR in cubic printing!!
